Product Details
Vintage mid 1940’s Pope Gosser China lot in the discontinued Blue Bell pattern. A lovely design with a garland of yellow, blue and pink flowers and gold trim to the scalloped edge, called a sterling mold.
Pope Gosser was a China company founded in Coshocton, Ohio in 1903, their wares survived thru the Great Depression when they merged with several other China makers as a consolidated company. There re-emergence in the 1940’s saw them introduce transfer decals and ornate molds. The company disappeared in 1954 with their purchase by the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co.
Has a small crack ( see photos)
