Vintage DETECTO NY Clothes Hamper
This vintage metal laundry hamper is covered with textured vinyl that looks like fabric embroidered with a floral design. The lid is lightly padded and covered with the same vinyl material. Overall this piece is in very good vintage condition with some wear from age and minor cosmetic flaws. The interior of the hamper is super clean and the lid hinges are sturdy and work perfectly.
Condition details:
There are a few rusty areas on the back corner and the front bottom trim (pictures 8 and 9).
Some of the vinyl on the outside of the lid is slightly discolored (picture 10).
One of the handles swivels because it is attached to the hamper in only one spot (picture 11). Please note, in picture 11 the handle is turned to show that its only attached in one place and to demonstrate how it moves. It can be put into its correct, level position.
Both handles have corrosion on the finish (picture 11 and 12).
Hamper measures 22" long x 12" wide and 26" high and weighs 11 LBs.
When fully packed, the shipping weight is 21 LBs.
