UPR Billet Foot Peg Mounting Bracket and Support Brace Eliminate Frame and Peg Failures
Description:
UPR's replacement Billet Foot Peg Mounting Brackets for Sur-Ron MX
electric bike made from 7075 aluminum. These billet brackets replace
the weak oem cast brackets that are known to fail.
Includes Foot Peg Support Brace to protect against all jumping, hard riding
and against general fatigue that the cast foot peg brackets suffer from.
Does not include kickstand and simply uses all factory parts to swap
over for ease of installation.
Installation Tip:
Be sure to always use anti-seize when installing the UPR Billet Foot Peg
Mounting Brackets and Support Brace System. This will allow the frame
to be evenly pulled back into place when tightening as its very common
for the frames to be bent inward causing a gap when trying to install the
mounting brackets.
The anti-seize will ensure a smooth thread operation and allows the bolts
to be turned easily without extra stress. Be sure to tighten each side evenly
so it pulls the frame peg mounts back out to the original location. Some times
one side will be bent more than the other as people have a tendency to lean
to one side more than the other.
Once you have gotten the frame to contact the billet mount bracket surface
evenly and have the support brace installed you are done. As long as you take
your time and go slow and with returning the frame back to its original location
you will have brought your frame back to 100% and boxed it properly with the
new mounts and support brace eliminating this from happening ever again.
* Never grab the kickstand and try and bend the mount to get the kickstand from
contacting the swingarm. The kickstand is hitting the swingarm because the
mounting bolt location in the frame is bent and that is the main reason the
support brace was designed to correct this problem.
