    Description

"Prospectus of Correspondence Course in Riding and Training the Saddle Horse" is a 32 page, 6.75"x9.75" softcover written and published by Professor Jesse Beery (Pleasant Hills, Ohio) circa 1910. Beery founded the
Jesse Beery School of Correspondence in Horsemanship in 1905, which allowed students from all over the world to study his horse training methods (still influential today) by mail. This prospectus was sent out in an effort to drum up students - it contains a biography of Beery, a summary of the course contents, black-and-white photos of well-trained horses throughout, and letters of recommendation from satisfied customers (the most recent dated 1910).
The book is in acceptable, reading-only condition, with heavy wear and soiling to the cover, a crease down the middle affecting the entire book, a lot of writing on the back cover, various small stains and smudges to the interior.
