You certainly don’t see these everyday! This is a very large, antique meat dome. It’s marked inside the lid “Sheffield 4537 EPNS” along with some hallmarks. It has age related patina. It is tarnished and has some scuffs and dings. It measures a whopping 16” long, 12 3/4” wide, with an inner height of 7 1/4”. Add about 2 3/8” for the handle so the overall height comes in at almost 10” tall!
There’s a metal latch at one end so it was originally designed to latch onto a large platter. No platter here. Just an incredible dome.
