Ford 272, 292, 312 Y-Block Oil Fill Tube Cap

This listing is for a new oil fill tube cap/plug. This is designed to close your crank case when ventilating through the valve covers which is what Ford later did with the FE (and most all future engines Ford produced). This cap is designed to fit the original oil fill tube size as well as the Blue Thunder oil fill tube size. This cap allows the valley and tube to be used as an oil fill location exclusively, sealing off the lower half of your crankcase (please remember that you will still need to seal the rear ventilation location of the OE cover as well). This is not like the cheap loosefitting plastic/ rubber ones you will find elsewhere. This Is made from billet aluminum and uses three O-rings to seal your engine. Please remember like any O-ring that is used on the internal combustion engine we strongly suggest lubricating the O-ring and seal location with motor oil to create a better seal that will not lock up. The primary use for this cap in the Y block application is for when customers are ventilating through the top of the engine, such as the valve covers.
Please note that there is one valley cover this cap does not fit THE NOTCHED VERSION. Oil fill tube must be round and not have a notch in order for this to fit the application.
