Fine German Art Deco Era WMF Ikora Brushed Silverplate Bauhaus Bullet Vase

For your consideration we offer a fabulous Art Deco era brushed silver plated bullet vase by WMF Ikora. Inspired by Bauhaus creations, one of the most influential currents in modern design of the day, this is one of the larger examples, rising 10” in height off of a base measuring 4” in diameter , 5” wide, with a highly polished 3” opening. This piece is decorated with a lightly etched chevron design at the crest of the vase and is in an excellent, difficult to find, heirloom quality condition. Expected light surface scratching is seen as well as a couple of tiny pinprick specks of plate loss to the body of the vase on close inspection, but these are not noticeable or distracting unless intentionally seeking them out. Otherwise there are no dents, dings, rub marks, plate loss, prior repairs, or other compromising imperfections found. The interior of the vase is very clean, showing a few areas of typical minor water stains, as well as one on the exterior bottom. The hallmark is seen on the base. Wear is appropriate for age and history of gentle well cared for usage, so please review the photos as they are a descriptive part of the listing.
