THIS IS SUPERB SILVER PLATED RETICULATED WINE OR CHAMPAGNE HOLDER, MARKED ON THE BOTTOM.
THE SIZE: 7 1/4 INCH TALL, 7 1/4 INCH LONG WITH BOTH CIRCLE HANDLES, 4 3/8 INCH DIAMETER OF THE SERVER.
THE MAKER: JAMES DIXON & SONS, HALLMARKS INDICATE THE PERIOD BETWEEN 1879 - 1935, BUT LOOKING AT THE DESIGN IT WILL BE RATHER THE END OF THIS PERIOD.
THE CONDITION: EXCELLENT, NO DENTS, NO CRACKS, NO PITTING ON THE EXTERIOR, INTERIOR BOTTOM HAS SOME GREENISH DISCOLORATION AND IT WAS NOT POLISHED. THE EXTERIOR HAS NICE DEEP LUSTER, COULD BENEFIT FROM EXTRA POLISHING, SOME SCRATCHES AS SHOWN ON THE PHOTOS, SOME USAGE MARKS, LIGHT WEAR. THE SERVER WAS A TROPHY OR A REWARD FOR WESTRIDGE SCHOOL 1938 - 1968 AS ENGRAVED ON THE BOTTOM. PLEASE, LOOK AT THE PHOTOS.
