CHRISTOFLE GALLIA 1920 FRANCE HOTEL SILVER DECO FLOWER VASE

Description

Christofle of France small silver flower vase produced for French hotels or restaurants.
Circa 1900 - 1920s
from Art Deco Period. I've offered these Gallia vases before on eBay. These come directly from France.
This is a Gallia piece, a line of decorative table pieces by Christofle. Gallia pieces are an early copper/tin metal alloy base which were cast then silver plated. Marked,
"ORFÈVRERIE
GALLIA"  and mark of Rooster on base.
Gallia items are usually very decorative and were produced from specific metal foundries in France.
Additionally, this piece is marked with a Profile of the Goat inside a rhombus, within a square stamp which would indicate early foundry work between 1908 and 1929. Model 5050.
Beautiful Art Deco flowers with a wave designed border. Measures just 5 inches high, for a small bouquet. Antique patina is a dark shade with silver highlights. This combination of Gallia foundry and metal alloys produces a dark patina with age.
