Antique SHEFFIELD England Silver Plate SAMOVAR Coffee Tea Water URN SUNFLOWER
Offering a very handsome Antique 19th C. Sheffield Silver Plate Samovar Tea Water Urn.
Top finial -- "Sunflower".
Stylized, botanical florals decorate the handles. Very fine chasing on top and bottom. Bold ribbing on base ending in ball feet.
Retains original interior cylinder -- interior coal holder/burner with lid. The inside burner even has what appears to be the original "iron"(?) insert for heating the water.
Top lid has initials/letters on rim. They are hard to read, but I think it says
LM
. The top of the spout is marked:
PATENT
. There are also some letters on the medallion surrounding the spout (illegible).
Very nice antique condition -- no dents or cracks on samovar body. Teeny ding on cover of interior burner. Samovar cover fits tightly. Spout moves easily. Sits solidly and squarely on bun feet. Some silver rubbing to show copper (mainly on cover). Very warm patina. We have not polished the silver.

Measurements (approximate): 11 3/4" tall (base to top of "sunflower" finial), 12 3/8" across (handle to handle), and 11" deep (outer rim to edge of spout).
